Jenny Trites, Organist and Choir Director

Jenny is a composer, pianist, and music educator from the Annapolis Valley. She studied theory and composition at Memorial University. Since discovering her passion for choral music as a child, she has been a member of many different school and community based choirs including the Memorial University Festival and Chamber Choirs, Choeur Maha, the Saint Lawrence Choir, and the Aeolian Singers.

Jenny is a frequent collaborator and performer with Xara Choral Theatre, and with the Villains Theatre. She currently directs the Halifax Giubilo Honour Choir, co-directs the Fairview Orchestra, and teaches elementary music for the Halifax Regional Centre for Education.
