Information Regarding COVID-19
As the COVID-19 pandemic evolves and we continue to monitor government and public health requirements and guidance, it remains our priority to ensure the safety and well-being of all members of our community of faith at Fort Massey United Church. With our focus firmly on that priority, our current intention with respect to the physical re-opening of our church and related facilities is set out below:
As of June 30, 2021 provincial regulations allow for the holding of in-person worship services with certain attendance limits. With the retirement of Rev’d Trent Cleveland-Thompson, after 28 years as our minister, we will be joining with the congregation at St. Matthew’s United Church at 1479 Barrington St. from July 4 to August 4. Check with St. Matthew’s for any particular changes in their protocols.
Groups and organizations who use the hall need to make contact with our office administrator on Thursdays for further instructions on Fort Massey’s COVID-19 protocols before entering the building.
Weekday church sponsored activities, meetings and groups will not be meeting until further notice.
Pastoral care is limited to phone calls, emails, Zoom. Check the most recent church bulletins for information about contacts for emergencies, etc..
